Heavy Weight Contest
What a fun weekend we just finished! The weather was amazing and I loved seeing all the families laughing and playing with each other. Lots of great memory making! Here are a couple of McPherson guys having a contest – who can hold it up the longest?
Grammy’s Pumpkin Patch – This Weekend
Nick Mourn finished his carving on Friday evening. It really has some personality. We really enjoyed watching him work!
Kurt Krehbiel spent the afternoon with us today demonstrating his potter’s wheel. He does beautiful work! He will be out tomorrow (Sunday) as well.
Tomorrow, Sundance Farm, will be out with their petting ponies and the Clydesdale wagon again from 2-4:00!
Farm Life
Little bit of real farm life today. Today started with a call from the neighbor, who let us know that we had a coyote that was after a calf. So Angie, my sister, and I loaded up the .22 and hopped on the 4-wheeler out to the pasture. We weren’t sure if we’d get up the nerve to use the gun or not. Fortunately, the coyote was gone when we got there, but we did lose the calf. That part of farming is never easy!
