Grammy’s Pumpkin Patch – Field Trips!
We had another beautiful weekend on the farm! It has been fun to see so many families out enjoying time together. We wish the two boys who celebrated their birthdays with us a blessed year!
I am looking forward to a full week of field trips. Here are a couple of pictures from last week.
Grammy’s Pumpkin Patch – Woodcarver
Mark Childs, a chainsaw artist, is making some noise at the patch today. Come see him turn our logs into bears with attitude!

We had a great group of kids out at the farm today. In the first picture, one of the students is showing his “nature walk” collection. “Nature loves me,” he said. Too funny! The middle picture shows us working on our life cycle book. The students did a fabulous job. We also explored different parts of the farm. My son is holding a chicken (which I am so glad he loves to catch because I’m not so fond of that job) for our students to feel. Of course, we had a great time watching everyone playing as well! Great day!

CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Oct. 1 & 2: Giant Pumpkins arrive for Johnstown Giant Pumpkin Contest. The pumpkins will be on display for the season.
Oct. 8: Come see the Pumpkin Train in the Hyllingsvest Parade in Lindsborg, KS, and then come on back for some family fun!
Oct: 15: Chainsaw artist, Mark Childs at work; Horse drawn wagon rides 2:00-4:00pm; Movie Night (free admission) 6:30 bring some blankets, snuggle up and enjoy Big Idea’s Veggie Tales!
Oct. 22: Pumpkin Carver, Nick Mourn, at work. Come see some truly unique carvings!
Oct. 23: Horse drawn wagon rides 2:00-4:00pm
Oct. 29: Movie Night (free admission) 6:30 bring some blankets, snuggle up and enjoy Big Idea’s Veggie Tales!
