We had some entries delivered for the Johnstown area giant pumpkin contest. If you have a giant you’d like to drive out, give us a call! It is exciting to see those big ones rolling in. The Guinea Hens and chickens didn’t quite know what to make of all the commotion. I am impressed that these gardeners had such great results-even in a drought year! Way to go! I hope to get some pictures on here soon, but you can come and see the giants yourselves. They will be displayed throughout the season.

GRAMMY’S PUMPKIN PATCH – NOW OPEN!
The long wait is now over. The anticipation for opening day had grown stronger and louder than the upcoming NBA series. Okay, so they are on strike. It had grown stronger than the NHL season. Okay, we don’t usually follow Hockey in Kansas. The anticipation for Grammy’s Pumpkin Patch to open this season had grown larger than the pumpkins (okay it was a drought season).
The wait is now over! We are open and you are invited to come and join us every weekend until the end of October. We have pumpkins, food, games, destruction zone and the Pumpkin Train. Fulfill your anticipation and make your way to Grammy’s Pumpkin Patch located between McPherson and Lindsborg.
Grammy’s Pumpkin Patch 2011Grammy’s Pumpkin Patch – Beautiful Smoky Valley
It is good to be in the heart of Kansas, nestled in the Smoky Valley tonight! With some very much needed rain and a bit of cooler air, we had a beautiful evening here on the farm. There is much work to be done in preparation for opening weekend, but we just had to stop, breathe, and admire God’s handiwork for a while this evening.
